When did AG-PAC start?

AG-PAC was formed in 1989, by a half dozen farmers who were threatened with proposed regulations and legislation that would have been devastating to the natural resource industry.  They decided if they were one unified voice, they would have a more powerful voice...so AG-PAC was formed!

What does "AG-PAC" mean?

"AG-PAC" is the political action committee for agriculture, forestry and the natural resource entities involved in food and fiber production.

Who can join AG-PAC?

Again, anyone involved in the growing and production, transportation and processing of food and fiber products is welcome to join AG-PAC.  Also, anyone who believes in keeping the natural resource community a viable industry in the state is welcome to join us.

Isn't there other agriculture PAC's in Oregon?

Yes, there are other agricultural and forestry PAC's that have started in the past 8 years, but AG-PAC is the original.  We have been working on behalf of the ag and forestry community for 15 years.


Is AG-PAC tied to a political party

No...AG-PAC is not tied to a political party.  We endorse and contribute to both republicans and democrats who believe in a viable natural resource economy.

What does AG-PAC do?

AG-PAC takes part in the recruitment, education and election of natural resource friendly candidates running for political office. Whether they are state elected officials, state and house members, or county commissioners AG-PAC will be your voice in the political process.
